Orbital-Phased-Resolved analysis of the High-Mass Gamma-ray Binary, 4FGL J1405.1-6119
Abstract
High Mass Gamma-ray Binaries (HMGBs) are among the rarest of galactic objects known to exist with roughly a dozen documented. HMGBs consist of a compact object (Neutron Star or Black Hole) and a massive O/B companion star, however in most cases, the type of the compact object is not known. Further characteristics of these HMGB are enigmatic but detailed analysis using The Fermi Telescope's Large Area Telescope (LAT) provides insight on emission mechanisms and other binary properties in the Gamma-ray regime. Orbital-phase-resolved spectral analysis has been conducted on the HMGB: 4FGL J1405.1-6119 using Fermi-LAT data. Supplemental X-ray observations made by the XMM-Newton and NuSTAR space telescopes provide multi-wavelength coverage at the maximum and minimum points of the Gamma-ray emission. Joint fits, created using FermiTools, Fermipy and the Python package 3ML, obtain detailed multi-wavelength spectral parameter evolution and provide the chance to investigate and refine the physics behind the interactions of the binary and the mechanism behind the high-energy generation.
